First, we strike this bowl on its upper outside edge with a wool-padded or other wool mallet. Next, using a wood or leather-padded mallet, we play the rim tone and then isolate the fundamental tone. The pictured mallets are the ones we use in the sound sample and are included in your singing bowl purchase.
